Today is my birthday and I'm three score and one. That's sixty-one for those of you who hate to figure out things like this.
Today was bittersweet...
We got the car transferred into John and Marie's names. Since Mama can't drive anymore she won't be needing a car. : (
I got a lot of birthday wishes, including Aunt Ruth who has never forgotten to call on my birthday.
Mama and I had a birthday lunch with my cousin Nancy.
We missed Carol because we were at the lawyer's. We met with the lawyer for Mama to sign her new will.
That will makes me Trustee for a trust set up for Mary Sue. I'm also the Trustee of the will and was given Power of Attorney. This gives me the ability to pay bills, make decisions, and generally trade places with my mother.
Sixty one years ago she gave me birth and took care of me all those years. Today I became the one who will take care of her. It seems a little ironic that this should happen on my birthday.
I didn't tell about Aunt Ruth never forgetting to call me to complain about anyone who wasn't able to or even forgot to call. It's just that as my Daddy's only sister, she really has kept up with me.
ReplyDeleteI got a wonderful (#2) letter from my Grandaughter Avery. I love getting these letters. It's been a very good day. Nite all.
Hey, I like how the comments add on at the end. Now I can add things I forgot! :D
