Sam is a Wanderer!

As you know we gave Sam away in August. Well, this morning he was returned to us. LaDawn and Isaiah were sad and upset. Isaiah said he was tired of getting a new dog all the time. I'll miss visiting with LaDawn.

After they left, I called the vet and had his records put back into our name. John and I put a tag on Sam with his name and our phone number and then I started calling shelters. LaDawn brought an article from the paper about a no-kill shelter here in Grayson Co. I left a message. I asked the vet's receptionist and she suggested the Humane Society here so I called. They suggested an Irish Setter shelter. They have a very good record of finding homes for their dogs. I expect to hear from them in less than 24 hours.

I hate to let him go but apparently it is against a city ordinance to let him run free. So....he needs a new home. I'll miss him but not as much as I did before. We'll see what happens next.
