Today will be interesting. Mama, Marie, Sam, and I are driving to Lexington right after lunch. Sam has become very "drooly" on each of the two rides he's been on. Therefore, we will be giving him a Dramamine in hopes of avoiding car sickness. We will also line the seat with a big blanket, take a couple of big towel, a big bucket, a wet wash cloth, and have our fingers crossed. Everyone one here is planning to go to the visitation tonight and then the funeral on Wednesday. The only person who might have taken care of him was Carol and I think it would be too much to ask right now since she's having some health problems.
Marie, who loves Sam, has volunteered to sit in the back with him. She going to wear old clothes "just in case". I hope we have a very uneventful trip. I know once we get there Sam will be fine. He and Mattie get along well and he'll be happy as long as he's with us.
Jeremiah came by last night and took all the bullets out of all the guns. I feel much safer now. After the other night I was a little worried.
I have the laundry to finish, clothes to pack, and things to put away. Right now I'm going to check on the Cinnamon Nut Monkey Bread that Mama made last night. I hope it turns out well. She was determined to make it but she ended up making some other cinnamon nut thing that she said was bread dough. NOT! However, it was pretty good. Chewy, very chewy! The main bread dough needed more flour but it felt like good roll dough. It's smelling awfully good right about now.
