Case's Birthday Party

This was a great weekend.


On Friday night Mama said that if she still felt as good as she did right then, that she would go with me to Lexington. On Saturday morning she was ready to go. I called Carol and cancelled the plans for her to come and stay with Mama and we left here about 11:30.


Not realizing that Elizabeth would be serving a meal so soon, we stopped at Fazoli's and had lunch.


When we got to the house, Elizabeth was so surprised and happy to see her Granny. We introduced people to Mama again and finally settled in for the party.


Case was not quite sure what to do with the packages until Avery and Teagan showed him how to pull the tissue out and say "Whee!" He finally got into it and really enjoyed everything he got. It was hard to get him to open the next one because he wanted to play with the one he just opened.

He got a lot of really great "boy gifts"......cars, trucks, etc. I certainly enjoyed myself. I think Mama did as well.

The next morning she asked me if I'd heard the music last night. I said no, that I hadn't. She seemed surprised. [Apparently she is still having the aural hallucinations.]

We got back to Leitchfield and she seemed to feel really well. She finally lay down to nap and rest. So did I!
