The last seven or eight days have been so stressful. However, the end result has been wonderful.
I have been getting more and more tired and the stress didn't help matters at all. John told me he wanted me at home. He said I couldn't be the primary caregiver anymore that I would have to be the primary supervisor of the care for my mother. I have been spending three weeks each month (except for Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, and Mar - some more and some less) in Leitchfield taking care of the house, groceries, laundry, and paying bills/keeping the budget. I will continue to keep a tight hold on the money but will not worry about the need to spend money when needed. Mary Sue is to tell me before she writes any check. I will post it on that month's budget sheet and keep up with what is going where.
John and I will go down for two or three days each month at the beginning of the month (over a weekend if possible) to take care of the yard/trimming and to check on and visit with Mama.
I plan to hire Beverly to check in on Mama and take care of general household duties. I think she is the ideal person for this job. There will probably be at least six day/month and we will pay her $12/hour (a minimum of two hours regardless of time).
I am so happy to be at home!
Today Avery is spending the day with us because she has had Scarlet Fever and can't go to school until tomorrow. Amy and Tim couldn't stay home any longer so we get to enjoy her for the day. She is so pretty and is getting quite tall. I have a feeling she will be taller than her mother someday.
I have podiatrist appointment this afternoon. I'm a little nervous about it and hope it isn't going to be too painful. (Ingrown toenail)
Tomorrow John and I are going to keep an eye on Case while Elizabeth takes Rhett in for his 4 month checkup. It's hard to believe he's that old already.
