Despite the weather (rain and cold or hot, hot, hot) May was a pretty good month. We went to Leitchfield early in the month and was able to get Beverly to fill in on the days no one could be there with Mama. I had my second cataract surgery - another success! I can't believe how well I can see out of each eye. Now, if I could just get them to focus and quit giving me double vision, I would be completely happy.
The day after the surgery Dr. Garrett was very pleased with the left eye. He had to lift the lid to see into it. That's three doctor's who've had to lift my lids to see into my eye.
I saw Dr. Alexander last week and he was quite pleased with the condition of the sinus cavities he had to go through to get to the orbital decompression work he did. One of them healed up a little too well but so far I haven't had any trouble with it. I'm to rinse with a Rx to prevent sinus infections. He told me if I want to get my eyelids repaired by Dr. Offutt, I'd better do it soon. Dr. Offutt is getting ready to slow down his surgical work due to back and neck problems.
I have an appointment to talk with Dr. Offutt about the lids. We did discuss it earlier but I wasn't ready to do anything at that time. I guess now I will if he thinks it's time. I really would prefer him to do it if it needs to be done.
That's all. I'm very tired these last few days. I'm ready to crash for a while.
