When I got up to let Sam out I saw that Mama's bedside light was on and that her book was open on the bed.
I let Sam out, saw that Mama was on the couch asleep, and I went on into the kitchen to fix Sam's food. The exhaust fan was on at top speed. There was a burned up pan with soapy water in it, and the kitchen floor was extremely sticky. I got the swiffer, put a wet wash cloth on it, sprayed the floor with cleaner and started mopping. I had to do it twice to get all the sticky spilled sugar up.
While I was putting the swiffer away, Mama got up. She said there was a fan on and it was bothering her. I told her I'd just turned the stove fan off. She said she wasn't finished sleeping yet and went back to the couch. She wasn't there very long before she came and told me that fan was keeping her awake and she couldn't find it. I told her the furnace fan was running. It turned itself off just about then. She insisted she could still hear it and started to go to the basement. I asked her what she was looking for. She stopped, looked puzzled, and said, "I can go later". She repeated that the fan was too loud. I said her ears were probably ringing. She said she go try to settle down again. She's asleep right now.
There was no fan but at least she wasn't complaining about the fire house. Yesterday she thought she thought she saw the fire chief at Wal-mart. She said she wasn't sure so she hadn't talked to him (about the voices). Yesterday she came into the family room where I was sewing, turned the speaker up as far as it would go and asked me if I didn't hear that. I told her that I didn't.
Right now she is talking in her sleep. I can't hear exactly what she's saying because she mumbles most of it, but it's loud enough that I first thought she was talking to me or Sam. However, I'm here writing and Sam is at my feet.
Well, that's how my day has gone so far. I hope you are having a good one
